I believe that most of the statements above are true. Yes, we're diverse but we generally agree on the other principles listed. In addition, we believe:

That the current state of affairs is intolerable.
That it's important enough to spend a certain chunk of our personal lives trying to change it.
No one person has all the answers, and one should avoid people who set themselves up as infallible.
We'd rather have truth than comfortable fictions.
That Jeff T's little website here has helped us keep our sanity and courage during the dark years of BushCo.

between repubs and dems.

Repubs have been defined by lockstep, unified front, and a mechanical effort to remain on talking points.

Dems/progressives/liberals are often described as herding cats or bugs, there are so many viewpoints.

It's the price of tolerating dissent and encouraging discussion (as differentiated from secret scheming behind locked doors).

That we're all mad here. If we weren't mad, we wouldn't be here.

There is ONE thing that everyone here (except for the trolls) can agree upon!

That trolls suck.

The most sucking ones are the Rightwing Plants who have at least several IDs, and uses them ALL.

The next most sucking ones are the Rightwing Plants who only use a couple of ID's.

The third worst sucking troll is the Rightwing Plants who only uses one ID. (if there is such a RP)

The next worst sucking troll is the one who seeks to protect a Rightwing aspect or two...and frequently attacks other members( whom they know do not agree with that aspect)frequently with swollen insults, deliberate misconceptions, and thick insinuations... in order to frequently draw negative attention to that member. -(Which is one of the several tactics used by the real RPs)

And another thing that can be agreed upon is that alot of good people have left SC because of that.
