By the time the funding bill comes to the floor for a vote, it may be too late. The leadership is expected to decide tonight whether to include a timeline in the bill or just give the President a blank check to continue this war. We can't let that happen. Speaker Pelosi has to listen to Democratic representatives who made her Speaker.
That's why we need you to call your Democratic representative right now. Urge your representative to contact Speaker Pelosi and the leadership and insist that any Iraq legislation include a timeline to bring the troops home.

Good Lord Will, don't you know we Dems are burned out?
Don't you know that so many of us have e-mailed, phoned, and mailed letters of our discontent to idiots and spinless miscreants as Pelosi, Reid, Conyers?
Don't you know we are so disgusted by the whole non-impeachment, Iraq war syndrome that we know the valuable use of our short time on earth no longer includes getting the "opposition" party to listen to us?
Let's face it. It is futile. If THEY haven't listened to us since we elected them in 06, do we think they will listen now? We have become a police state. We have become a land of laws just for the few of us. This once great nation has been reduced to the laughing stock of the planet, reduced to a tyranical goverment who is hated by others. This done with the complicity of the Dem Party.

I made the calls, then reported them to the sites I made them through. Certainly. I told my senator and congresman('s secretaries) that I stand behind their NOT voting to fund the war. Both secretaries took my name and address, & said they'd pass along the messages immediately.
