    Its not fun...

it is tireseome...and damaging...I am sick of it..! I just wonder who paid who to conduct this poll and whether they asked only the Clinton supporters to participate...the MSN outlets finally have something to talk about that even the brain dead cititzens can grasp..while they manage to up their "viewer participation" and "ratings"...viewer participation+ratings = $$$$$ (money)

    Submitted by chabuka on April 28, 2008 - 3:22pm.

    So

news that doesn't favor Obama is "tiresome and damaging"?

    To say nothing of fraudulent.

    Interesting viewpoint.

On the war and peace issue...

...McCain versus Clinton doesn't offer much of a choice. If that's what the choice is this November, I may finally carry through on my long-standing idea of taking a ballot from a poll worker and then simply putting it back in the envelope unpunched and handing it to her. Our electoral system seems designed to restrict our choices rather than to offer us choices.

    Don't Believe It!

    Cewillir stop posting this crap.

The AP is so far up the ass of the GOP this once venerable news service hasn't seen daylight for a long time. They spun us into Iraq, avoid election theft, and generally suck. They occassionally get tough to keep a shred of diginity but when push comes to shove they are lapdogs like the rest of the MSM.

AP would love to see Shillary as the nominee so MCain can wup her sorry obliterated ass.

I know you have been a chimpster for a long time but give us a break. You won't find many Hillary lovers here and we are sick of the negative spin and posts relating to Barrack's electability problems. He will shred McCain and Hillary has not a chance. She's a liar and will get caught up in her BS big time.

    The approach of

'If I hide under a blanket I won't have to deal with the real world'?

    Submitted by cewillir on April 28, 2008 - 5:21pm.

    hiding under a blanket . . .

Yesterday Mrs. BD and I volunteered to help with Sen. Clinton's event at the "Bobcats Arena" (uptown Charlotte, NC). Chelsea Clinton, Terry McAuliffe, two congresswomen (from California and Ohio) and other local officials were on stage to speak in support of Hillary. We were seated on a level above and about 25ft. from center stage giving us an unobstructed sight line. Sen. Clinton gave an excellent speech, far better than anything that I've seen from Obama. When you see Hillary and Chelsea in person and up close they are so comfortable and confidante on stage, Hillary looks great, much better than on the TeeVee. It was announced that Governor Mike Easley would be endorsing for Hillary today. (BTY, Gov. Easley is a much better public speaker than Governor Richardson and he has a very polished manner when you compare the two) Mrs. BD just said that BHO was taking to reporters at some airport in NC and he never once looked into the camera and appeared to be addressing his comments to some inanimate object laying on the tarmac. Very unbelievable I must say.

    We love you Hillary

    We love you Hillary..
We love you through and through..
You're here to destroy the Democrats..and make us blue,
    You debate Obama,and divide Democrats..
Which is good, you keep the GOP off the front pages...the rats,
    We see Obama's smiling face,
    And he is the one,
who is going to win the race,
Even though Hillary, you voted for the war,
    And you're a bit of a disgrace
    Don't worry Hillary,
After the campaign you can write another book, to save face (and make millions more, how sweet :=))
    We love you Hillary
You're in the race for America,
to make it an interesting race
    But what about America?
    What about this place?
Are you going to divide to conquer?
So you and Bill have back your old place? (The White House)
Or will you put your resources behind Barack Obama?
So we can get back our house,
    The house we call democracy

    We love you Hillary

    The Fact is That

Hillary is damaged goods who failed in her attempt to get the people a health care program. This failure was caused by her arrogance and stupidity. Her husband destroyed the social umbrella required to help people survive during a depression by his so-called welfare reforms. She has a negative base of voters of 40% -45% a larger negative base than the positive base of John McCain.

Submitted by Winston Smith on April 29, 2008 - 2:13am.

    Funny then that

in this poll - despite her negatives - she has a better chance of beating McCain than Obama does.

    Submitted by cewillir on April 29, 2008 - 2:20am.

    Wow - a definitive poll...

Does this mean that Hillary wins?

When does Barack give his concession speech?

Can we move on to Denver now?

    Submitted by bearbunn on April 29, 2008 - 4:41am.

    Is It Me?

Or is the narrative in the MSM changing?

I can't help but think that "The Powers That Be" after giving us the impression this is an historic election year, are finally pulling the sticks out from under the Dems.

Think Lucy pulling the football from Charley Brown at the last second. She gives him hope that this time he'll get to kick the ball, but after all, she's still Lucy...

They know Hillary can't win (I don't believe the poll either) against McBush, nor do they want her to.

They certainly aren't going to let anyone with brown skin be president. That would set too dangerous a precedent.

I think it's all orchestrated to:
    a) keep the horse race going for the ratings & the negative imaging;
    b) make McBush the default winner.

    Submitted by genboomxer on April 29, 2008 - 3:52am.

Tell me again. Why can't Hillary win. Really, I mean it.

Don't be nasty. Let's really talk this over. Make a list of the positives and negatives of both of them, the way most voters will see it.

    Submitted by MissMarple on April 29, 2008 - 3:58am.

    Thunk! Oh dear! I fainted.

Miss Marple made a short post.

    Submitted by crazyalice on April 29, 2008 - 6:31am.

    I'll Try

    HRC Positives:
    Intelligent, determined woman
    Experienced at taking political punches
    Long term Washington experience
    Democrat

    BHO Positives:
    Charismatic speaker
Speaks to the electorate as if they were adults
Ability to engage and motivate voters to rally around ideals
    Long-term success in community development
    Democrat

    HRC Negatives:
    Intelligent, determined woman
    Experienced at taking political punches
    Long term Washington experience
    Democrat

    BHO Negatives:
    Charismatic speaker
Speaks to the electorate as if they were adults
Ability to engage and motivate voters to rally around ideals
    Long-term success in community development
    Democrat

My point wasn't that one Democratic candidate was better or more electable than the other. Either is better than McBushagain. My point was that neither of them can win if TPTB (The Powers That Be) have decided they will not. It looks to me like the game is turning in that direction.

The narrative on nearly every media outlet for the past month has been one in which both of them are in trouble and neither is liked by their electorate. The gullible sheeple (Notice how the phrase Reagan Democrats has surface recently?)are buying into the crap.

    Submitted by genboomxer on April 29, 2008 - 12:32pm.

    Exactly, genboomxer

It looks to me like the game is turning in that direction.

TPTB have already selected Clinton, regardless how well Obama is in popular or any other votes. What the sheeple fail to realize is Obama and Michelle will move on and do well in their lives, while the rest of us will be stuck in a long-term depression we may never wake from.

    Submitted by classwarfare on April 29, 2008 - 11:43pm.

You know I support Hillary, Classwarfare,

but you aren't being entirely fair to Obama.
You can't tie him to Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, really.
A lot of black people have Arabic names in their name, and let's not play the "Osama" card ourselves. That's just not right.
I think he is an elitist and pompous. He reminds be of the way my Dad used to be. Fortunately, he got over it. But then, he wasn't a politician with people telling him how great he was. I was criticizing Dad for using $10 words when a $2 word was just as good. I bet Obama doesn't get that at home.
He is smart and well educated, but I want to see what he will do on the national stage a while; three and a half years are not enough for me. Six to eight years in a governor's mansion would have been enough to tell, or six to eight years in Congress. Your co-workers get a feeling for you after a while.
But he has been running for the last year. That makes it 2 1/2 years in the Senate before he started running. That's no track record. The Republicans held the legislature in Illinois all but one year, so he only had one year there to make a record. That's not his fault, but it's not enough. If he had won his race for the House in 2000, that would have been great. He could have run for the Senate from there and had those two extra years, and more people having had a look at him.
Barack is not nobody, it's just that he jumped too soon. He may win the nomination, but I'm not sure he can win in November. I thought he could, but now I'm not so sure.

Im afraid you over estimate the intell of the average American, something like 40 percent of them still think Iraq did 9-11,that we found WMD in Iraq.Alot of them even get Iraq and Iran confused....On the good side of that ignorance is the fact that many of them will vote for Hillary because they think its Bill!I remember hearing a stat out of Texas that when W won the Gov. race something like 30 percent thought they were voting for George Herbert, you know the one that really did fly a plane in combat and didnt go AWOL.

    Shame On You!

"I was criticizing Dad for using $10 words when a $2 word was just as good."

If your dad was using $10 words to belittle or lord over others then shame on him, but if he was using $10 words because of his intelligence then shame on you for not seeking understanding. I somehow suspect the latter. Unfortunately there are too many people like you who do not see the value in $10 words.

If appreciating and valuing and using $10 words makes me an elitist, then I whole heartedly embrace the moniker!

You might want to check out today's Stephen Pizzo posting on anti-intellectualism.
